Guidelines for Producers

All fiber and skins/hides are sourced within 200miles of the Pembina River from eastern Saskatchewan to Kenora and through parts of N. Dakota.

Botanic Dyes are farmed, foraged and sourced within 200 miles of the Pembina River

Labour is sourced within 200 miles of the Pembina River.

Exceptions to this include manufacturing outside of the fibreshed, due to the shortage of mills within the region.

If you are a farmer, dyer, fibre artist, teacher or sewer who works with local fibres, residing in the Pembina Fibreshed region and you want to reach more customers and connect with other farmers working towards producing ecological and ethical textiles and fibres consider becoming a fibreshed producer member.
